  • ADX824 is a high-performance single-chip analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This device includes a low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a Δ-Σ (Delta-Sigma) modulator, and a digital filter. The ADC supports two operation modes that offer trade-offs between power consumption and resolution. A dual-channel multiplexer has inputs for signal measurement and ADC signal testing. One mode can be used to short the input and test internal noise. The PGA features high input impedance and low noise, allowing direct connection to geophone and hydrophone sensors. The digital filter provides data rates from 250 to 4000 SPS. The high-pass filter (HPF) features a programmable corner frequency. On-chip gain and offset calibration registers support system calibration. Synchronous input controls the timing of the ADC conversion. A power-down input places the ADC to a power-down mode. ADX824 is available in a compact 24-pin 5mm × 4mm QFN package with a temperature range of –40°C to 85°C, and an operating temperature range of –50°C to 125°C.
