The ADX102(Q) is a precision, low-power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides all the functions needed to measure the most common sensor signals in either an MSOP-10 package or an ultra-small leadless QFN-10 package. The ADX102(Q) integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), voltage reference, oscillator, and high-accuracy temperature sensor. These features, along with a wide supply range of 2V to 5.5V, make the ADX102(Q) ideal for power-limited and space-constrained sensor measurement applications. The ADX102(Q) can perform conversions at data rates of up to 3300 samples per second (SPS). The PGA offers input ranges from ±256mV to ±6.144V, allowing for high-resolution measurement of both large and small signals. The input multiplexer (MUX) allows for the measurement of two differential or four single-ended inputs. A high-accuracy temperature sensor can be used for system-level temperature monitoring or thermocouple cold-junction compensation. The ADX102(Q) can operate in continuous conversion mode or in single-shot mode, where it automatically powers down after conversion, significantly reducing current consumption during idle periods. Data is transferred via a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™). The ADX102(Q) is rated for a temperature range of −40°C to 125°C.
